Accounting Technician

Whether you’re looking to enter the accounting field, expand your business knowledge or develop skills that can support a variety of financial workplaces, Eastern College’s Accounting Technician diploma program can help you build a strong foundation for your future.

You’ll develop practical accounting and bookkeeping skills while becoming eligible to fast-track toward the nationally recognized Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation. Along the way, you’ll learn to work with industry-standard software including Sage 50, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office while building the skills needed to support day-to-day financial operations.

With ongoing instructor support and flexible learning options, you’ll gain the confidence to apply your knowledge in real-world settings. This 49-week program includes an 8-week internship where you’ll put your skills into practice in a field-related workplace, building experience and insight you can carry into your job search.

Career Opportunities
Career services include resume and cover letter assistance, interview preparation and updates on relevant job openings, helping you put your best foot forward as you begin exploring new opportunities. These may include positions as an Accounting Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounting Assistant.
