Home Support Worker
With Eastern College’s Home Support Worker certificate program, you can help fill the urgent need for home care workers with the skills and training to assist clients of all ages. Rewarding employment opportunities exist in private homes, long-term care facilities, acute care settings, retirement homes and more. You will learn to provide care and companionship and assist persons with such activities as housekeeping, meal preparation, bathing, dressing and undressing and personal hygiene.
Successful graduates will receive certificates in WHMIS Awareness certificate and Standard First Aid and CPR Level C as well as their certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach certificate.
